How to write the “perfect” CV or resume?



In order to appear for interview regarding any job, a person needs to have a CV or Resume. Whether a person gets a job or not depends considerably on his/her resume. Many a times, people do the mistake of ignoring the importance of their resume. People who think that resume is not so important for getting through a job interview are very wrong. People should understand that before the interviewer see you, he see your resume. It means that your first impression is related to your resume. Here are a few tips on how to write the perfect resume.



First, do not make your CV or resume too lengthy. People who think that boasting about their achievements in their resume will help them to get a job are not so right. When a resume is too lengthy then the interviewer loses interest in reading it. Nobody likes to read a resume which appear like a book. Always try to give to-the-point information in your resume. Your resume should contain neither too less nor too much information regarding you.
Second, think twice while writing your hobbies in your resume. Many people write their hobbies in resume without any second thoughts. Almost all the interviewers ask questions related to the hobbies mentioned in an individual’s resume. If you have written a hobby just for the sake of it in your resume then you will end up blunt faced when questioned about it. This will give a bad impression of yours to the interviewer.

Third, never forget the basics while writing a resume. In order to appear different one should not try too much creativity in a resume. Information like date of birth, educational qualification, experience etc. are considered as basic information while writing a resume. Instead of making your resume very colorful and fancy, keep the things simple and give the interview confidently. Last but not the least; always be honest with the information provided by you in your resume. Most of the interviewers are very smart and they can find out wrong information in your resume. In such a situation, you would find yourself in an embarrassing state. Therefore, stay honest.
