With exam results around the corner, some of you must be stressed out about your scores, especially if you aren’t sure if you have done well. Here are few tips which will help you calm during your wait.
  1. Try not to talk about the exams once it’s over. When discussing with friends we are more likely to discuss about the mistakes we have done. This will only highlight the point that you have not given your best and till will in turn increase the stress level.
  2. Its better not to go through your notes looking for answers after the exams. You can t change what you ve already written.
  3. Start collecting information about different career options, get to know about various colleges, visit a career counselor for guidance and takecareer sure test, which will help you know your own potential.
  4. Start sorting out and organizing any notes, books or paperwork you will need to have ready for the next academic term. This will not only take your mind off of the wait for the exam results, but it will also make sure you don t have any last minute panics before the next term begins.
  5. Try and be calm and divert your mind to something that interests and relaxes you. Doing light exercises may also help. Hit the gym or go for a brisk walk. Basically, relax. Do something fun to unwind like watch a movie, join a hobby class or something that will keep you occupied
  6. Make plans to celebrate when the results come out, no matter how good or bad you did. It will give you something to look forward instead of just fearing the day.
  7. Don’t panic thinking about the mistakes you have done in the exam. Instead try and understand where you have gone wrong and see how you can cope it up in your future exams.
  8. Understand that everybody gets stressed about exam results. You are not the only victim.
  9. A little bit of stress is a normal part of life. However, if you think you re stress is getting out of control, talk to somebody now! If you think stress is causing you serious medical problems, such as significant sleep problems or if you have become suicidal, please don t hesitate in going to see a doctor or psychiatrist. Try to communicate your feelings with them and listen to what they have to say. Communication always helps.
